TV3′s brand new local drama The Almighty Johnsons launched to hugely impressive ratings last night and proved to be the show to watch with audiences. In the 18-49 demographic, the episode did a 32.2% share and in the all important 25-54 demographic The Almighty Johnsons scored a 29.5% share, easily beating Castle and Brothers & Sisters on TV1 and TV2 respectively.
These mighty results come as no surprise given the fact that The Almighty Johnsons is written by James Griffin and Rachel Lang – the hugely successful writing duo behind ratings powerhouse, Outrageous Fortune.
Kelly Martin, 3′s Director of Programming says:
“These strong launch figures prove what we at TV3 knew, that New Zealand is ready to welcome a new Kiwi family into their homes. We are delighted with these results and proud to be offering Kiwi audiences such a fantastic local drama.”
