790 The Ticket is among five nominees for a Marconi Award, which honors the outstanding sports station in America.

I have no familiarity with the other nominees but for others who do, here they are: KTCK-Dallas; WBZ-Boston; WGFX-Nashville and WXYT-Detroit.

The Marconi winners will be announced Sept. 15 in Chicago.
