Mel Gibson DUI Jail Video Triggers Legal Dogfight


A videotape of a raging and drunk  Mel Gibson in a jail cell immediately after he was arrested in 2006 for DUI has become a huge bone of contention in a lawsuit filed by the arresting deputy.

L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy James Mee is suing his department, claiming he’s the victim of religious discrimination. Mee, who is Jewish, claims he has been targeted by his superiors because of his faith.

Mee wants the jury to see a videotape of Mel Gibson in the holding cell.  When TMZ broke the story about Mel’s anti-Semitic rant, we referenced the video, which shows an out-of-control Mel handcuffed behind bars, complaining he had to urinate and then — according to sources — appearing to make an attempt to pee on the cell floor.

Kristy McNichol Comes Out

(EndPlay Staff Reports) – Kristy McNichol, star of popular television shows “Family” and “Empty Nest,” has decided that she’s had enough of kids being bullied, and has come out to support them by announcing that she is a lesbian.

A photo of 49-year-old McNichol and her partner, Martie Allen, was published in People magazine. The actress decided to make a statement now because she is “approaching 50″ and also said that she wanted to “be open about who I am.”

McNichol and Allen have been together for the past 20 years, about as long as the Emmy-winning actress has been out of the public eye.

Her publicist, Jeff Ballard, told People, “She hopes that coming out can help kids who need support.

Nude FHM star Veena Malik: ‘I won’t strip for Hollywood’

Veena Malik has revealed that she does not plan to strip off for either Hollywood or Bollywood.

The Pakistani actor, who recently appeared nude on the cover of FHM in India, said that her culture is more important than her career.

“I would never strip for any industry, these are absolutely silly comments coming from the press and media and mostly,” she explained.

“It upsets me and my fans. I’m an actress and everyone in this industry is doing what the role requires. Read more…

Fox Picks Up Comedy Pilot From It’s Always Sunny Team

The pilots just keep coming from Fox; theyve given the greenlight to another comedy project, this time from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphiaco-creator and star Rob McElhenny and co-executive producer Rob Rosell. The single-camera comedy from the pair is the second comedy and the fourth series Fox has picked up to pilot today.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the series, titled Living Loaded is based on the book of the same name penned by Dan Dunn. The semi-autobiographical book was published just under a year ago and follows the adventures of the heavy drinking and hard living author. So you might say its more of an adult comedy.
