On Feb. 5, Gucci Mane makes another attempt to reclaim the throne of best in Atlanta, following his legal woes and sub-okay mixtapes, with Trap Back, his new mixtape. Gucci apparently shot a bunch of videos recently, and they started rolling out big time yesterday and today. The first one was for “Sometimes,” a track featuring the guy who currently has Atlanta on lock, Future. The video is below, and it was clearly shot with a Flip cam on a marijuana binge and on the cheap, but then again, the margin between a big-budget Gucci video and a low budget Gucci video is very narrow. Musically though, this is closer to Gucci’s successes in the past, but Gucci seems more weary and less wild-eyed and gonzo. Which is on balance, a negative. Watch it.
